Projects Kitchen & Bath Cabinets and Counter Tops
Multi-generational living has ousted the one-size-fits-all kitchen to welcome future-proof design catering to a growing population that is living longer, marrying later and demanding more in terms of valuable interior design.
Creating ultimate flexible kitchen spaces for you and your family from just the kitchen alone. There’s a focus here on integrated seating areas, low-level and full height storage solutions, and extended breakfast bars or island units that become an all-inclusive workstation, complete with food prep areas and space for cooking, dining and home office work. Interior storage solutions are having a moment. We have lots to store in the kitchen, but we don’t necessarily want it to be on show, so it’s no surprise that discreet storage solutions, or rather hide-and-seek storage, is a must in the kitchen. Provide task lighting. The primary purpose of undercabinet lighting is to illuminate the countertop, which in turn makes food preparation easier on the eyes. That’s why it’s known as task lighting. Always install the task light toward the front of the cabinet, not toward the back. If the light is stationed closer to the back wall, it primarily highlights the backsplash tile and not the counter, defeating the purpose of the light.
Brown Residence- a collaboration
Customer came to us via A3G Architecture who was designing a new home for their client.
One of the design requirements was to utilize existing cabinetry that the customer had acquired many years ago when Home Depot switched out a display. The customer and her husband bought the old display with the intention of "someday" bringing to life in a new kitchen. Before that someday came the husband passed but the desire to fulfill the dream was even more meaningful. And we wanted to be a part of that project.
A3G kitchen layout in the new home utilized most of the old cabinetry but Choice Cabinet KC has to acquire a few new cabinets including a double oven, new island and mudroom cabinetry to complete the design.
Once installed by our Trade Partner, Oak Home Improvement LLC we called on the expertise of Chat at Unique Painting to paint the new and old cabinets.
What you see in the pictures is the finished kitchen complete with new countertops. One of our other Trade Partners, Grandview Top Company provided the pictures for our website.
Timeless Kearney Shaker Kitchen
This stunning shaker style kitchen provides ample space for entertaining and cooking. The sprawling, natural granite counter tops make the perfect spot to layout a holiday feast or to make hundreds of baked treats. The organic pattern with flecks of gold and earth tones in the counter tops compliment and bring warmth to the hues of blues and grays making the space a calming retreat.
The peninsula/breakfast bar area anchors this room offering generous storage, seating and work space. The gray color is a pleasant contrast to the white cabinets adding interest while keeping the simplistic timelessness of the kitchen. A useful hide-away for appliances can be found in the cabinet that extends down to the counter with traditional mullions in the cabinet above creating an elegance about the space.
The backsplash contributes pattern and color bringing the space together as a whole. The use of natural light paired with overhead, task, and ambient lighting gives this room a bright, clean and welcoming feeling that draws you in even more.
