Projects Kitchen & Bath Cabinets and Counter Tops
Multi-generational living has ousted the one-size-fits-all kitchen to welcome future-proof design catering to a growing population that is living longer, marrying later and demanding more in terms of valuable interior design.
Creating ultimate flexible kitchen spaces for you and your family from just the kitchen alone. There’s a focus here on integrated seating areas, low-level and full height storage solutions, and extended breakfast bars or island units that become an all-inclusive workstation, complete with food prep areas and space for cooking, dining and home office work. Interior storage solutions are having a moment. We have lots to store in the kitchen, but we don’t necessarily want it to be on show, so it’s no surprise that discreet storage solutions, or rather hide-and-seek storage, is a must in the kitchen. Provide task lighting. The primary purpose of undercabinet lighting is to illuminate the countertop, which in turn makes food preparation easier on the eyes. That’s why it’s known as task lighting. Always install the task light toward the front of the cabinet, not toward the back. If the light is stationed closer to the back wall, it primarily highlights the backsplash tile and not the counter, defeating the purpose of the light.
Brown Residence- a collaboration
Customer came to us via A3G Architecture who was designing a new home for their client.
One of the design requirements was to utilize existing cabinetry that the customer had acquired many years ago when Home Depot switched out a display. The customer and her husband bought the old display with the intention of "someday" bringing to life in a new kitchen. Before that someday came the husband passed but the desire to fulfill the dream was even more meaningful. And we wanted to be a part of that project.
A3G kitchen layout in the new home utilized most of the old cabinetry but Choice Cabinet KC has to acquire a few new cabinets including a double oven, new island and mudroom cabinetry to complete the design.
Once installed by our Trade Partner, Oak Home Improvement LLC we called on the expertise of Chat at Unique Painting to paint the new and old cabinets.
What you see in the pictures is the finished kitchen complete with new countertops. One of our other Trade Partners, Grandview Top Company provided the pictures for our website.
Timeless Kearney Shaker Kitchen
This stunning shaker style kitchen provides ample space for entertaining and cooking. The sprawling, natural granite counter tops make the perfect spot to layout a holiday feast or to make hundreds of baked treats. The organic pattern with flecks of gold and earth tones in the counter tops compliment and bring warmth to the hues of blues and grays making the space a calming retreat.
The peninsula/breakfast bar area anchors this room offering generous storage, seating and work space. The gray color is a pleasant contrast to the white cabinets adding interest while keeping the simplistic timelessness of the kitchen. A useful hide-away for appliances can be found in the cabinet that extends down to the counter with traditional mullions in the cabinet above creating an elegance about the space.
The backsplash contributes pattern and color bringing the space together as a whole. The use of natural light paired with overhead, task, and ambient lighting gives this room a bright, clean and welcoming feeling that draws you in even more.
Transitional Liberty Kitchen
Contemporary meets traditional with this sleek white kitchen and hints of color on the walls and accessories. The shaker style cabinets have an added piece of molding around the center panel giving it a traditional yet modern flare. The dark hickory floors create a nice contrast with the white cabinetry and balances well with the earth tones in the backsplash.
The granite backsplash also adds texture to the room and pulling the gray tones out in the beautiful quartz counters. The farm sink and baskets next to the range give a nice touch of rustic charm.
The coffee bar area is a great additional feature helping declutter the kitchen counter area and adding a place for decorative items to be displayed.
The seating area at the counter contributes a versatile area for eating or sorting the mail. The open display area above really “pops” and makes a statement. Everything flows together so seamlessly.
This kitchen is the heart of the home!
A section of the kitchen wall was removed to merge the living with the kitchen area, creating an open concept space. By eliminating the wall, natural light flows effortlessly throughout this space. Equilibrium is achieved by the arrangement of the wall and base cabinets in relation to the stove and refrigerator. The rectangular shape can be seen throughout this space; it is witnessed in the wood floor planks, subway tile; drawers and doors of cabinets. The oversized island houses the recycling/trash, dishwasher, sink and a base cabinet of drawers for storage. The grey subway tile and rich brown cabinets are reflected in the pattern and color of the counter top. These kitchen cabinets are from Choice Cabinet, the style is called Kensington. Kensington is the perfect selection for those seeking a true furniture feel to their cabinetry. The door style is full overlay, consisting of a mitered stile and rail. The drawer fronts are fivepiece. These cabinets are made from Maple, with a deep, rich, warm walnut stain.
A LOTTA BANG FOR YOUR BUCK
This compact space gives meaning to the phrases, “dynamite comes in small packages” or “a lotta bang for your buck.” This cozy kitchen offers premium storage space. Taking advantage of every square inch, this room is well thought out.
Symmetrical balance is achieved by the arrangement of the upper and base cabinets surrounding the stove top. The weight of stainless steel is distributed throughout the room in a pleasing balanced manner, bringing balance to the kitchen.
Lighting in this room consists of natural, recessed and under cabinet lighting. All work together in creating a stylish and functioning room.
The industrial island stands in the center of this beautiful kitchen. It is versatile and easy to move. It can be a work station or a serving space.
The charcoal tile and stainless-steel appliances are cool to the touch. The earth tones in counter, floor and weathered wood top of kitchen island act together to bring warmth into the room.
LOVELY LAKEHOUSE KITCHEN
This large, extended kitchen plays a part of the open concept plan in this newly remodeled home. The generous large rectangular island with supporting posts is center stage in this room.
Light can be seen throughout the room; in the upper cabinets with mullions doors, in the recessed lighting and in the beautiful Moroccan pendants above the kitchen island. The refrigerator and double oven cabinet are the pillars of this kitchen. Balance is achieved through the strategic placement of the wall and base cabinets in relation to the custom painted wood range hood. The smooth and cool contrasting counter tops compliment the cabinets and island.
Repetition is witnessed on all levels of this Lakehouse Kitchen. It can be seen in the upper cabinets with four lite mullions doors; the sleek pulls of the drawers and doors; and the Moroccan patterned tiled backsplash.
This Shaker with rounded detail is a popular choice among homeowners. The colors of this room are calming; giving the feeling of unity and compatibility.
